Extensively covering about 40,000 pyung of area
within the Yongsan Family Park, the National Central
Museum is expected to boast 5,000 years of the
Korean history and culture, in par with the French
Louvre Museum (46,000 pyung) and the U.S. Metropolitan
Museum (48,000).
Sookmyung Women's University Museum
Established in 1971, the Museum carries 4,000
items displaying the history of Korean women's
life and general folk study materials and resources.
Seukjusun Museum located in Hannam-dong San 8,
the Museum is housed by the most exquisite building
on the campus of Dankuk University. 7 displays
rooms covering 354 pyung of area carry 1,0226
items specified in the archeology and history
fields, and 8,860 items for the folk history.
Stone age relics include pliers and stone made
knives in addition to mirrors and other accessories
used in the Korea Period. For the folk relics,
there are crowns worn by the kings of the Chosun
Dynasty, as well as other clothing accessories.
